On arrival at Cochin International Airport/Railway
Station, you are greeted and escorted to the historic Cochin Fort and hotel,
Brunton Boatyard. In Cochin, explore this ancient harbour, with its rich
colonial past. Explore the old spice market at Mattancherry, the antique
shop on Jews street, the Synagogue, the Dutch palace and of course,
the famous Chinese fishing nets followed by harbour cruise. Overnight at
Brunton Boatyard.Day 2 Cochin - Periyar
through winding hill roads with plantations of rubber, spice and tea.
Enroute stopover for lunch at the Plantation House. After checking in at
Spice Village the afternoon is reserved for a boat safari in the Periyar
Sanctuary. Engage in activities like Cooking demonstration and cultural
programme followed by dinner. Overnight at Spice Village. Day
Early mornings are the best time for sightings and
you can expect to spot herds of elephants, bison, deer and spectacular bird
life. A trip to Periyar is not complete without visiting the spice
plantations. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight at Spice Village.Day
4 Periyar Kumarakom
After your breakfast, drive down the
coast of Kumarakom on the banks of lake Vembanad. Hop on to a boat to
Coconut Lagoon, an eco-friendly resort created from restored heritage homes,
set in a web of canals on the banks of the Kavanar river. In the evening,
take a sun-set cruise on the lake, in a rice boat accompanied by melodious
music from a flute. After the cruise learn to cook some authentic Keralan
dishes in the cooking demonstration class organized by a chef. See some
traditional art forms of Kerala followed by dinner. Overnight at Coconut
Lagoon. Day 5 Kumarakom
Wake up with the
chirping sound of the birds from the nearby bird sanctuary and take a
rejuvenating yoga session. After breakfast, trek to the bird sanctuary
accompanied by a Naturalist Visit the Village close by. Return to the resort
for lunch. Spend the afternoon at leisure. In the evening engage in yet
another session of cooking demonstration and cultural show. Dinner and
overnight at Coconut Lagoon.
6 Kumarakom - Marari
After breakfast enjoy another session of Yoga.
Transfer by boat to Marari Beach and check-in to an independent villa there.
The calm and serenity at Marari Beach resort allows you to distress
completely from the bustle of the city life. After lunch in the restaurant,
relax at the Coconut grove. In the evening, listen to good music and take
cooking classes followed by dinner. Overnight at the Marari Beach.Day
After breakfast, explore the area and its fishing villages
nearby on a bicycle or take a dip in the sea. Post lunch, spend the
afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight at the Marari Beach.Day
8 Marari Airport
After breakfast, drive back to Cochin
International Airport/Railway Station. Includes
